SYNTRONIC is a Sweden-based and leading independent design house specializing in design and development of advanced systems for high-technology industries spanning automotive, broadcasting, telecommunications, medical device, industrial, defense and consumer electronics sectors. We handle the entire design, test and maintenance process – from the initial concept phase to verification stage to the finished product – in design areas of RF, advanced electronics hardware and embedded software, PCB, mechanical, fast prototyping and system designs involving embedded systems, mobile and wireless technologies.

As part of our pioneer Global Software Design Team, our regional office in Kuala Lumpur is seeking suitable and competent candidates to fill the following position:

Software Engineers (Embedded System Development)
(Kuala Lumpur - KLCC)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software for embedded systems, electronics product application and its respective modules/components
• Responsible for architecture, design and implementation, test of software to support our customers work flow
• Develop software using for example micro Linux and / or real-time OS / embedded development platforms
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned work according to committed deadlines and workloads
• To ensure all deliverables are meeting guidelines, expectations and specifications, such as code quality and coding practices
• Work closely with other design engineers within the company in developing cutting edge solutions for embedded system development
• Proactive report to management or seniors for any design or development issues
• Cooperate and collaborate with employees at all levels in achieving common goals and objectives

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
• 2 years or more of software development experience is preferred
• Preferably experience in software development using Assembler / C / C++
• Understanding of micro-controllers and microprocessors and experience in working with ARM drivers and DSP programming, compilers and debuggers would be an added advantage
• Experience in software development using Linux is an advantage
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a team player, self-driven, good in managing priority and able to work independently under minimum supervision in a fast paced development cycles environment
• Some travel to other design sites for training and support may be required
• Full-Time positions are available
• Fresh graduates will also be considered
• Required written and spoken language: English
