Database Administrator (Based in Cambodia & Malaysia)
(Selangor - Petaling Jaya)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting - design / tune procedures & queries.
  • Resource and data administration.
  • Fault investigation & resolution (where appropriate).
  • Reporting Services Administration including report security, user & report management.
  • Managing files & log files.
  • Creating database stored procedures.
  • Creating common user-defined functions optimized performance.
  • SQL Development and Query optimization that includes: create, maintain and troubleshoot under performed queries, index, triggers and user-defined functions.
  • Granting database objects privileges.
  • Escalation of problems to software support when required.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): MS SQL Server, SQL Language, Stored Procedures.
  • Preferred skill(s): Database Optimization, Crystal Report, MS Reporting Services.
  • Required language(s): English, Chinese.
  • At least 1 year(s) of experience in database application development or administration.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 technologies, networking and security, software development tools such as MS .Net, T-SQL, Internet-related technologies such as XML & JAVA scripts will be an added advantage.
  • Able to think logically and follow best practices or guidelines provided.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and methodology.
  • Able to work proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
